Tobacco «Burley» - is a smoking tobacco with absolutely no natural sugar content and has a special, rich nutty taste. The nicotine content in this tobacco ranges from 1.5 to 4 percent. The color range of Burley tobacco ranges from light brown to mahogany. In a rough comparison, we can say that Burley tobacco is more intense in taste, much drier and denser than Virginia tobacco.
Due to the stronger character of Burley, it is dried for a month without direct sunlight. The flavor can be changed by “toasting” the tobacco at high temperatures on large copper leaves.
