Carpathian bellflower (mix) - is an elegant and delicate plant that is winter-hardy and unpretentious. Purple, blue and white bells really look a lot like bells, hung here and there on thin stems. Main characteristics:
- bush 50-100 cm;
- flowers are solitary, directed upward, up to 5 cm in diameter, of different colors;
- flowering in the second year after planting, from May to July.
Perennial bellflower is often planted in continuous plantings in groups. Suitable for decorating bouquets in a rustic style, as it retains its natural freshness and decorative appearance for a long time.
Features of growing from seeds:
- planting is done in the ground in May or October to a depth of 5 mm, then thinned out at a distance of 20-30 cm between grown plants;
- if you want them to bloom this year, sow seedlings in March;
- To do this, the seeds are lightly pressed onto the nutrient substrate, sprayed with water and covered with film and expect germination in 2-3 weeks at a temperature of +18-20 degrees;
- dive in the phase of 2 leaves into separate pots, move to the flowerbed in May;
- prefers sunny areas, but can grow in partial shade, does not tolerate stagnation of moisture at the roots;
- grows on any soil, but feels better on loose loam with neutral pH;
- Watering in hot weather, weeding, removal of dry inflorescences is recommended; nitrogen fertilizing on melted snow is possible once a year;
- for the winter they are covered with leaves up to 15 cm.
