Agrotechnics of growing watermelons
Watermelon «Fairy Tale» - early ripe variety, vegetation period 65-77 days. Fruit weight 2-4 kg. The shape of the fruit is round-oval. Fruit color light green. Pattern: medium dark green stripes. The color of the pulp is pink-red. Resistant to anthracnose and Fusarium wilt. Features: suitable for transportation and medium-term (more than 30 days) storage.

Watermelon is grown in open ground and greenhouses on light soils. Sowing in open ground is carried out at the end of May. Sowing seedlings - in late April, early May. When the threat of frost has passed, the seedlings are planted in the ground (at the age of 30-35 days, in the phase of 3-4 true leaves) according to the scheme 80x200 cm.
As the plants grow, they form into one stem, removing side shoots, and leaving 2-3 ovaries. Further care consists in watering, fertilizing and loosening.
