Evergreen shrub or tree with abundantly branching shoots, which in natural conditions reaches more than 2 meters in height. Family Pittosporaceae.

The leaves are alternate, simple, leathery, obovate, 5-10 cm long and 3-4 cm wide, on short petioles, slightly wavy at the edges and bent down, dark green, and the midrib is a lighter tone, leathery, shiny, at the base leaves are keeled. Pittosporum flowers are small, up to 1 cm in diameter, white, with a strong pleasant aroma, collected in corymbose inflorescences. Decorative-deciduous and beautifully flowering fragrant flowers, yellow or white. The flowers are large, up to 3 cm in diameter. The plant blooms from April to July.

Winter temperature should not exceed 13°. Exposure - western or eastern. It can also grow on the north side, but then it blooms poorly. Land mixture for planting: turf, leaf, humus, sand (4:2:1:1). Fresh air is desirable in summer. Pruning and pruning regulate the shape of the crown. Pittosporum is propagated by seeds or semi-lignified cuttings in spring and summer.

Used in group compositions of the winter garden and as a tapeworm in the interior.
