Bulb onion «Penguin» - mid-early (85-95 days), onion variety. Bulbs have a rounded and slightly elongated shape weighing 120-150 grams. The color of the scales of ripe fruits is brown-bronze, the inner ones are white, the taste is semi-sharp. Productivity is 3-4 kg/sq.m.
Suitable for processing and storage. The variety has resistance to a complex of diseases and excellent keeping quality - up to 6 months. Used fresh and for processing. Grown in an annual culture (from seeds).
One of the few early-ripening onion varieties that can be grown from seed directly for the final harvest, and not for sowing next year through sets. Although such an option is also possible for obtaining bulbs with a large weight.
