Roman chamomile (camomile) / Chamaemelum nobile - is a perennial herb from the Asteraceae family. Stems up to 25 cm tall, branched. Leaves sessile, twice - thrice pinnately dissected into short linear segments. Inflorescences - baskets located singly, wrapper up to 6 cm tall. The diameter reaches 12 mm, reed flowers are white, tubular yellow. The plant is quite fragrant.
The flowering period falls on the second half of June and the beginning of July.
Usage: medicinal (for digestive disorders, dyspepsia, anorexia), exhibits antispasmodic and sedative effects.
