Garden viola (Swiss Giant Adonis) - is a strongly branching biennial plant, 15-20 cm tall, with large flowers 5-10 cm in diameter, of delicate blue color.
Light-loving, moisture-loving, and winter-hardy. Requires shelter in harsh winters.
When grown as an annual, it should be sown for seedlings in February-March; as a biennial, in June-July. Tolerates transplanting well, even in flowering condition. When grown as a biennial, it blooms in the second year.
Ideal for planting in balcony boxes, alpine slides, carpet flower beds, border decoration, and growing in pots.
Sowing (month, depth) - February-March, 0.5-1 cm.
