Foxglove «Purple Muse» / Digitalis - a perennial plant, grown as a biennial, up to 150 cm high. Stems are upright, simple, with a basal rosette of leaves. Flowers up to 5 cm long, purple in color, collected in racemose inflorescences up to 80 cm long. Flowering occurs in June–August. The plants are frost- and drought-resistant, develop well in sunny places, and tolerate partial shade.
Seeds are sown in open ground at the end of April–early May. Used for sowing against the background of tall bushes, in the background of mixed flower beds or among other relatively low perennials, for decorating walls, for cutting, and forcing. Requires careful handling—all parts of the plant are poisonous.
