Decorative pumpkin «Lumina» - is an original variety of large-fruited pumpkin with ivory-colored fruits. The ripening period is 90-100 days. The fruits are flat-round in shape, medium in size, weighing 4.5-6 kilograms.
The pulp is orange, dense, fine-grained, very tasty. The fruits are well stored after picking. The variety is unpretentious, productive, up to 5 fruits are formed on each plant.
The variety is highly decorative and is often grown for use as an ornamental crop and for decorating interiors. It is distinguished by its unusual appearance - not only due to its “ghostly” coloring, but also because its light and smooth bark allows you to draw and cut out all kinds of patterns and “faces”.
This variety is very popular on the eve of Halloween. Plus, pumpkin is delicious and makes great holiday pies and other seasonal dishes. True, Lumina pumpkin is used less often in cooking than other pumpkin varieties, mainly due to its inedible seeds and the coarser structure of the pulp. However, the variety is still quite often used for preparing soups, purees, casseroles and other dishes.
