Carrot «Red giant» - high-yielding mid-season variety, growing season 100-120 days. Resistant to cracking. The root vegetables are large, conical, up to 16 cm long. The pulp is orange, dense, sweet, rich in carotene.
Used for summer and autumn-winter fresh consumption and for processing. The keeping quality of root crops is good.
The culture is cold-resistant. High yields are obtained on light loam or sandy loam soils with one deep layer and moderate moisture. Seeds germinate at a temperature of +4ºС, seedlings tolerate down to -2ºС. Seed sowing rate: 20 pcs. per 1 linear meter, planting depth 2 cm. Sowing rate per 1 m2 - 0.4-0.6 grams, row spacing 45 cm.
