Coffee arabica or Coffee tree arabica - an exotic indoor, evergreen, heat- and light-loving plant. Bushes about 100 cm high with leathery, shiny leaves and white, fragrant flowers, 1.5 cm in diameter. Used for growing indoors. In summer, they can be taken out onto balconies and terraces.
In summer, it requires constant watering, always with settled water, it can be taken out into the fresh air, shading from the sun. In winter, the plant is placed on a southern window, maintaining a temperature of + 18-20 ° C, reducing watering. Propagated by seeds, pre-cleaned of pulp and washed in a solution of potassium permanganate.
The seeds are placed with the flat side on the surface of the soil every 3-4 cm, not deepening, but sprinkling with substrate. The crops are watered, covered with glass, and aired several times twice a week to prevent the seeds from rotting. At a soil temperature of +20-30 °C, shoots appear within 2 months. Seedlings bear fruit in the 3rd-4th year.
