Cucumber «Makhaon» F1 - early maturing self-pollinating super-bunch hybrid of the Balcony variety. Female flowering type. Intended for growing on balconies, loggias, verandas, in open ground and spring greenhouses. The main whip is long, branching is weakened, internodes are short. There are many lateral shoots, but they are short, determinate type, which makes it easier to care for plants.
Gherkins are short, medium-burred, white-spined, with light longitudinal stripes, spindle-shaped, 7-11 cm long, 2.6-3.5 cm in diameter, weighing 60-110 grams, very beautiful. In the nodes of the stem and lateral shoots, 2-3 ovaries are formed, with further growth up to 7-11 ovaries. It is undesirable to allow the first fruits to overripen, this delays the appearance of new ovaries. On powerful plants during the period of active fruiting, 12-15 cucumbers can be filled at the same time.
Taste and pickling qualities are high. The hybrid is resistant to olive spot, cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew, and tolerant to downy mildew. Planting density in greenhouses is 3 plants/m2, in open ground 4-5 plants/m2.
