Beans «Quail» - bush shelling variety stands out for its compact size of a strong bush, abundant harvest with beige-brown grains. Plants take up a minimum of space, do not require support. The grain is harvested once, when the beans acquire a beige color and begin to dry out.

The caloric content of cooked beans is 120-300 kcal, it contains a large amount of nutrients, including protein, iron, vitamin C, PP and group B. The Quail variety is well stored and transported, suitable for canning and preparing a variety of dishes.

Main characteristics of the variety:

• pod size up to 10 cm;
• elongated, narrow shape, holds 5-6 beans;
• grain color is light beige with brown-red specks;
• early maturing variety, harvest in July-August;
• planting zone is sunny;
• the soil is suitable loose.

How to grow colored beans in open ground:

Growing in open cultivated soil begins in May-June. The plants are heat-loving, so for a quicker harvest they can be grown as seedlings. Light soil is poured into separate cups, 3 seeds sprouted in water are placed in a hole, deepening by 5-6 cm.

The shoots will appear quickly, they are moderately moistened, and after 25 days they are planted in the beds together with a lump of earth, keeping a distance of 15-30 cm. Caring for beans involves infrequent watering, loosening, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and ash. During harvesting, the above-ground part of the plant is cut off, leaving the roots in the ground to enrich the area with nitrogen.
