Hot (bitter) pepper «Jalapeno Bola» (Round red jalapeno) - this is a variety of the Mexican pepper Capsicum annuum, distinguished by the rounded shape of its fruits. The plant is compact, reaching a height of approximately 60–80 cm, and is well suited for growing outdoors and in greenhouses.
The fruits are small, 3–4 cm in diameter, initially green and turning bright red when fully ripe. Their heat level is approximately 100–500 Scoville heat units. The flavor is fresh and slightly grassy, with mild heat, making this variety suitable for stuffing and pickling.
Round jalapeños are often used to prepare appetizers, as their shape is ideal for filling with cheese, meat, or vegetables. When preserved, they look decorative, creating attractive jars filled with miniature «balls». The fruits are also added to salads, sauces, and salsa.
