Fungicide «Ridomil Gold R» - this is a systemic-contact copper-containing fungicide with a combination of two active ingredients, providing a preventive effect against bacterioses that may occur due to damage and under extreme weather conditions, with a curative effect against oomycetes on vegetables, potatoes, and grapes, with a short pre-harvest interval allowing the crop to be exported immediately after harvest.
Characteristics:
- Formulation: Water-dispersible granules.
- Active ingredients: 20 g/kg metalaxyl-M, 142 g/kg copper oxychloride.
- WHO classification: Class II (moderately toxic).
- Spectrum of action: Late blight, downy mildew, bacteriosis, grape downy mildew.
- Crops: Tomatoes, potatoes, grapes.
- Mechanism of action: The two components of the product have different mechanisms of action on phytopathogens.
Mefenoxam, or metalaxyl-M, belongs to the chemical class of phenylamides and inhibits nucleic acid synthesis in the pathogen. It exhibits true systemic activity, is effective against all types of oomycetes, and has both preventive and curative action.
Copper oxychloride belongs to inorganic compounds with a multi-vector effect on the disease agent. It has contact and preventive action against diseases of vegetables and potatoes. The contact action of copper oxychloride ensures the prevention of a wide range of pathogens, including bacteriosis and early blight.
The unique formulation of colloidal copper (oxychloride) has a high degree of dispersion with a particle size of less than 1 µm (unlike many competitors, which have 5–10 µm). This allows the product not only to dissolve much better in water but also to significantly improve the distribution of the active ingredient on the plant surface, prevent wash-off by precipitation, and it also does not require a sticker.
Advantages:
- The unique copper formulation ensures ideal coverage.
- A combination of two different active ingredients (systemic and contact action) in one product.
- A wide spectrum of controlled diseases and prevention of the spread of bacterioses and early blights.
- The basis of an anti-resistance strategy.
- No phytotoxicity to plants and safety for the operator during application.
Application rates:
- Potatoes: 50 g per 5 L (5 L per 1 sotka), pre-harvest interval 20 days;
- Vineyard: 50 g per 8 L (1.5–2 L per vine), pre-harvest interval 30 days;
- Tomatoes (open ground): 50 g per 5 L (5 L per 1 sotka), pre-harvest interval 14 days.
