Tomato seeds «Fuego Rosa»

Tomato «Fuego Rosa» - a mid-season, tall variety (plant height about 1.5 metres). The fruits are elongated, weighing from 100 to 200 grams, of an intense pink colour with orange-green stripes. The flesh is fleshy and dense, marbled, juicy, of a creamy consistency.

The taste is sweetish with a slight acidity, but not sour, with fruity notes. The fruits do not crack, store well, and are excellent both for canning and for fresh consumption. The variety is distinguished by a very high yield.

Agricultural technology

A heat-loving crop. It is grown from seedlings or by sowing in open ground. For seedlings, seeds are sown from 1 to 10 March in nutritious pots measuring 10x10 centimetres. The seedlings grow in cups for 55-60 days before planting in the bed. They are planted in a permanent place in the second ten days of May according to the 50x50 centimetres scheme.

To obtain a high and early yield, tomatoes planted in the bed in the first days of May are temporarily covered with transparent film until warm weather sets in. The best predecessors are legumes, cucurbits, root vegetables and green crops. They must not be planted after potatoes, peppers, aubergines or physalis.

A sunny place protected from cold winds is allocated for planting; loamy soils with the addition of organic fertilisers are preferable.
