Canary Palm / Phoenix canariensis - this perennial ornamental plant reaches 2 meters indoors. The leaves are compound, pinnate, and can be grown by sowing seeds directly into pots. Seeds germinate very slowly; from sowing to germination it can take up to two to three months.
Flowerpots are kept away from direct sunlight and central heating. Water abundantly in summer, once a week in spring and autumn. In spring, the plant needs to renew the top layer of soil. The Canary palm tree grows very slowly, 10-20 cm per year, and does not bloom. Used as a potted indoor plant, as well as for landscaping greenhouses, winter gardens, foyers and shop windows.
