Strelitzia «Royal» - it is a perennial evergreen plant that forms a lush bush. Homeland: South Africa. The leaves are 30-40 cm long, oblong, bluish-green, leathery, on long petioles.
Flowers: from April to October on a peduncle up to 1 m high, an inflorescence similar to an exotic bird with a tuft of pointed shell, from pale green to purple, large ones emerge one after another (up to 15 cm), babies with arrow-shaped orange bracts .
A common name of the genus is bird of paradise flower/plant, because of a resemblance of its flowers to birds-of-paradise.
