Ageratum houstonianum «Pink flint» - this is an annual plant. The stems are erect, up to 20-40 centimeters high. Flowers up to 2 centimeters in diameter, pink.
The seeds are sown in February-April in greenhouses or hotbeds. At a temperature of 15-18ºС, shoots appear on the 10-14th day. In May, hardened plants are planted in open ground. It grows well in open sunny areas with nutritious soil. It is used mainly for borders, flower beds and for cutting.
How to Grow
Start the Ageratum flower seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the end of frost season. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost. For areas with a long growing season, Ageratum seeds can be started directly outdoors in a prepared seedbed after all danger of frost has passed. Blooms are extraordinarily long-lived, dead heading is necessary, yet infrequent.
