Nigella damascena - this is an annual plant. The bushes are branched, 30-60 cm high. Inflorescences of an unusual shape, with a pleasant aroma, are blue, red and pastel white.
Seeds are sown in open ground before winter or spring. Blooms from July until frost. To prolong the flowering period, pinch off the tops of young plants. Used in the design of flower beds, borders, ridges, as well as for dry bouquets.
Common names applied to members of this genus are nigella, devil-in-a-bush or love-in-a-mist.
