Ipomoea «Purple star» - is an annual climbing plant, 2-3 m high. The flowers are large, funnel-shaped, purple in color with a purple star, open only during the day, in cloudy weather and at night they close.
It is grown by sowing seeds in open ground in April-May after the threat of night frost has passed. Flowering begins in July and lasts until frost.
It is used for vertical gardening of balconies, arbors, terraces and for creating hedges.
